This is mostly cleanup and bugfixes for 2.53 ... none of the new 2.99 features are in 2.54pre, development continues on 2.99.

this build is working fine on my setup, no bugs sticking out to me.

i want to add that this is a very nice gesture on cockos' part. Some other companies which will remain unnamed might just force you to upgrade to the next version....

I was starting to wonder if a release to fix some little issues would come out before 3. This is great because it means that 3.0 will not come out for a little while, and more features will be added to it, most likely.

Yes, I almost forgot that for some 3.0 is a pay for it upgrade, a kind gesture indeed.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but could it be that 2.53 has a bug in the midi cc action stuff, see http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=29721

It seems to be almost to obvious to be broken, but i've tried with both the KB37 and the VS2480 and the faders just jumps all over the place while the midi cc values go linear from 0 to 127.

I'll try downgrading to see where this crept in..

and oh, if its a bug, can we fix it in 2.54 :-)
