It's something that I would really like to see, and something that plugin alliance has implemented natively in their plugins, but it would be so sick to have a native reaper version of this.
So let's say I would have some amp sim setup. But in a section I want to use a slightly different sound, it would be awesome to store the current setting into bank A, then the next section into bank B etc etc ..
So you would pretty much copy the setting from A to B and have a single automation lane for switching the bank.
This would be so much easier and faster then having to store a preset, then setup reamidi control to switch between presets (which is a global setting) ... so kinda prone to error when you add new presets.
The bank system should of course be local per instance of a plugin and something like 6 banks (or more
