Default Super collapsed track size

I am using a slightly modified version of the Default 5.0 Nitpicky theme and up until recently the size of super collapsed tracks inside a folder was 0 so when a folder was collapsed only that track showed in the TCP. Now, and Im not sure if its since I updated to 5.93, even though the rconfig file is set to 0 for super collapsed tracks, these tracks are approc 4 pixel high. Has something changed in Reaper or have I inadvertently changed a setting somewhere?

Are you sure of this ? here, I see supercollapsed tracks with a 4 pixels height, but this, with reaper 5.91. I have also checked what was in the rtconfig.txt file of this theme and have seen this, in its header (line #27) :

tcp_heights 4 24 35 58 ; supercollapsed, collapsed, small(norecarm), recarm size

... which is coherent to what I am experiencing. So, if you want to be sure to make the supercollapsed tracks invisible, check again in the rtconfig.txt the first value of this non Walter instruction, which should indeed be set as 0.

Hi cubic and thanks for your reply. I have modified the rtconfig.txt file to read tcp_heights 0 24 50 50. This should give me invisible supercollapsed track heights but it does not, track heights remain at 4 pixels.

WARNING : IF you use super collapse size track of 0, the items on track are still editable and selectable even if invisible!

There is a safest way of doing it

go to cycle action editor and creat a new cycle action like this

Save current track selection
save slected track folder compact state
set selected folder track collapsed
select only children of selected folders
hide selected tracks from tcp
restore saved track selection
---step
Save current track selection
set selected folder track un collapsed
select only children of selected folders
show selected tracks in tcp
restore saved track selection
restore slected track folder compact state

and add it any keystroke/icon/mousemod/osc/midi you want

This cycle action has a "Bug" though. If you have a lower level folder track collapsed and then collapse a folder in a level above, the lower levels child tracks get unhidden and are now in the dreaded super collapsed state.

If anyone would have a suggestion how to solve this, that would be cool!

The goal is to never have to see those super collapsed tracks again.

-Personally I'd like an option to "turn off" the super collapsed state in options

OR

-Make tracks with track height 0 unselectable and uneditable in preferances.

Another option is this script by me2beats;

me2beats_Show-hide children of selected track.lua

If this script would remember lower level folder tracks hidden states and only effect the selected track it would be perfect!
