Wow that autodetect mono option is genius!
Any chance we can have that on the master meter too?

The master track supports various explicit mono modes (left, right, sum, difference). For the next build we'll adjust the master meter loudness calculations if the master is set to mono.

Thanks for the info. Auto detection of pure mono even in stereo/multichannel mode would still have been nice but this sounds very reasonable too and is probably the safer approach, given that all kinds of stuff can go through the master.

Thanks so much for these additions. The autodetect mono is working perfectly for me, even in monitoring FX, and my eyes thank you for the text size adjustment.

After further testing, I found a problem with the LRA calculations in the Loudness meter. When the file that is being analyzed ends with quiet content, or when you stop playback during a quiet part, the LRA number drops dramatically a few seconds after stopping. I compared with the Youlean Loudness Meter and with the Waves WLM meter, and while they all have the same LRA reading during playback, after stopping or after the end of the item, only the JS loudness meter drops in level.
Steps to reproduce:
- Add the Loudness Meter on a track or in monitoring FX
- Place a dynamic audio file on the track
- Stop playback during a quiet part
In the picture, compare the Loudness meter's LRA to the Loudness range in the Youlean, and the Range in the WLM

Speaking of LRA--since we have two meter bars available for loudness, would it perhaps be helpful to have an option to make one of the two bars display LRA, similar to the brackets used in the JS version?
BTW, I'm very grateful for all these new loudness features. Great job, devs!

That's actually a pretty interesting idea. I think it's a good one.

Very nice work on the mono detection!
jsfx meter (HiDPI)
when text is big (size 6-8), the footer becomes cluttered. Not sure, but looks as if margins and text-leading isn't scaled. Retina on the right, both set to size 8:

Hello Guys,
Normal this small rectangle to go to settings? See pic
Windows 7 64-bit
PS: Today (06.23) I tested it on another PC with Windows 10 and it shows a gear icon.
Thanks!
