Default Tuning a VST instrument

I'm using GSK's The Grand as my acoustic piano plug in.

Unfortunatly it seems to be out of tune with itself in places.

I seem to be able to fix this by

1) Rendering the two tracks involved to audio and including them in the project.

2) Adding Reatune to the 2 audio tracks, both tracks are fortunatly monophonic. Then rendering the whole mix again.

3) Mute the original out of tune tracks.

Although this works I wondered if there was a better way or can anyone recommend a better simple piano VST?

My three faves are Versillian Upright, Spitfire LABS soft piano and the Ivy Kontakt instrument, all free.
