Default RS 124 scanning trouble

Does anybody have trouble with the discontinued Abbey Road RS124 compressor plugin not scanning into Reaper 5.22? I used to have it working in older Reaper programs, quit using it for a couple years and now it won't scan. It's in all the right folders and plugin paths to be scanned. It's in my iLok and activated so it's not the iLok. All my other plugs scan. I'm using Reaper 32 bit but have tried 64 bit and it's worse- I get even more plugins that won't scan. Any help would be helpful:-)

I'm having the same problem here. Purchased a new Windows 10 laptop, loaded up the newest version on Reaper 64bit and Reaper doesn't see RS 124, but does recognize my other older Abbey Road plugins. Can anyone please help out on this?

Was RS 124 ever 64 bit or it was 32 only?

I don't think it was ever 64 bit. I spent 4 hours yesterday trying to get it to work. It now shows up in the effects list, but when loaded I keep getting

"The following effect plug-in could not be loaded" error

Looks amazing. I mean to demo it.

If you don't want to spend that much, try this:

Both of those look really good! I think The Arturia TUBE-STA is another comp. with similar DNA.

I've never tried a Gates Sta-Level and it's really well-regarded. I wonder if it sounds like a Beatle compressor though. I'm not sure if the OP was wanting a general vari-mu compressor, or specifically in the RS-124/Fairchild camp.
