Default Reaper Waveform Issues?

Hi guys,

when I do edits in Reaper (be it edits with cuts´n´fades or stretch markers) and I freeze/render or bounce that region and match it with the unrendered copy of the item - the waveforms look way off.

Well, I understand they may not line up perfectly, but the rendered file looks(!) way off.

Now when I line up the rendered and the unrendered item and flip polarity on one of them, I don´t hear anything. :-)

That means they match perfectly and nothing is going bad when I render or freeze.

Still, I find it a bit confusing when the waveform "looks untight and un-edited"

I suppose it has something to do Peaks/Waveform settings in the preferences? But I just don´t find it.

Anyone an idea?

Thanks Reapers :-))

Reaper does an approximation (by resampling the peaks data) of the waveform visuals when the items are time stretched. There's no setting to change that to work in some other way.
