Default Copy/paste automation envelopes, how to?

Sorry if stupid question, but I can't figure out how to copy automation envelope to other tracks. If I right click-select all automation node and copy then right clicking on another track shows no option to paste nodes; pressing CTRL+V only adds one point out of the multi points selected/copied and...in the wrong spot.

Help?

So, copying envelopes doesn't work? As in, it's broken? That's what I'm getting from the link you posted...

Well, here it doesn't work at all. I select the envelopes I want to copy, making sure all the nodes are selected, press CTRL+C, then select the envelope on the track I want it copied to, press CTRL+V and all I get is a node where the cursor is. Annoying, it's one of those thing that shouldn't be complicated to accomplish.

Works fine the way you'd expect here. Just retested (with 1.840).

Hi

Copy and paste on multiple automation points works fine here too.

Cheers

Haaa, I copied zoomed in around bar 63, it seems it pasted the envelope 60ish bar further down the line, past the actual project, and I couldn't see because of zoom factor (it's by chance I zoomed out enough to see my nodes...).

Now why is it doing that? I didn't move the cursor at all between copy and paste, why does it get pasted so far off the grid like that?

Ok, it copies using the start of the project as reference point, but paste using the cursor as reference; weird, but I can live with it.

Thanks for posting this question because I just thought it sucked that you could make the envelope move with the item and you could create a copy of an item with the same envelope with control+click-drag but at the same time lose the envelope on the current item.

Now - although this method of copying and pasting the envelope around is a little more cumbersome than what I might consider ideal - at least now I have a way of doing it.....so woohoo!

Regards
Caleb
