Default Portamento silencing notes

When I turn on portamento to try and do 808 slides random notes sitting by themselves are getting silenced. I turn up max voices to 8 incase this was the issue, but still no no luck. Any one know a fix for this?
Thanks

You're going to have to give one hell of a lot more information than that!

For starters what VST you talking about?

Sorry lol
I mean using the reasamp5000.
When I add portamento above 0 ms in this vst some notes are not being played at all, unless I start the song at those notes, then they are played. If there is a note one second before the other one the second note is not played at all even if portamento is set to like 30 ms.
If I take away the portamento I can hear all of the notes.

You can avoid this by using "Obey note-offs" (checkbox at bottom left). Adjust release if you want to keep playing like "one-shots". But in this case portamento works only with overlapping notes.

Without "Obey note-offs" option rs5k just "bend" played sample to new note from current play position and this position likely in the "tail" of the sample and it quite enough to no to hear a "bend" at all. Also when portamento enabled and sample long enough you can start hitting same pitch note but this will sound like one note until the sample's end.

Honestly not the best approach to Poramento. I'll prefer to triger sample from the start, how it usually works in synths.
