I goddamn love this script, this has made my workflow so much faster and eyecatching!

But as mentioned in posts a long time ago. Is there a way to use shortcuts for these tags?
I recently purchased a midi controller and would be nice to use it with this script without a mouse.

I was thinking something like scrolling through the tags with buttons. One could scroll down and one would scroll up by one tag

I'm trying to look at this script in order to understand if it's possible to make a function like "EDIT GROUPS" PT style.

any of you interested in this?

Default I Can See Clearly Now :)

I am a little late finding this script, WOW, what a treasure! I know a lot of other members here record a lot more tracks per project than I do, but I get eye fatigue just looking at 15 to 30 tracks and sorting things.

This script makes it so much easier to group and work with tracks, it's definitely a A Hall Of Famer! Thanks a ton spk77 for the effort you put into making this script.

Hi Daniel, I solved it deselecting "auto-create" In "folder track" menu.

For me was enought! I hope for you too.

Cheers.

Sorry I'm so late to this (and I'm fairly new to Reaper and ReaPack).
I've just run this amazing script and have a toolbar with buttons for each of my folders...perfect.

Question 1: Is there a way to add a space or divider between some of the buttons, so I can create mini groups of buttons for Drums + Percussion folders, Lead + Double + BG Vocal folders, etc.?

My mixer panel usually has three rows of small tracks (I have pretty large track counts and like to see as many as possible on the screen). When I click a track tag button, say "Keys Folder", the mixer only shows the 6 or so keyboard folder tracks (as it should), but when the MCP switches to a single row, the small track control section of each track remains small. I have a "Screenets: Track View" saved with the height and configuration for the MCP tracks in a single row, just the way I want them.

Question 2: Is there a way to create a custom or probably a cycle action that would allow me to add a "load track view #01" (which is the large mixer tracks in a single row view) after a track tag button is first clicked, and then add a "load track view #2" (which returns to the smaller mixer tracks in multiple rows view), after the same track tag button is clicked the second time?

What I mean is that the track tag toolbar has all the buttons vertically (the way I want them) with the same, very small spacing between each, like this:
DRUM FOLDER
GUITAR FOLDER
BASS FOLDER
VOCAL FOLDER

What I'd like to do is add space between some, not all of the buttons, like this:
DRUM FOLDER
PERUCCUION FOLDER

BASS FOLDER
GUITAR FOLDER

KEYS FOLDER
SYNTH FOLDER

LEAD VOCAL FOLDER
BGK VOCAL FOLDER

It's just a way to help me find the folder (or two) that I want quicker. It would be a convenience thing, but in the "big picture", it's not the end of the world if this can't be done.

My biggest issue is how to incorporate these track tag button actions with saved track views (in screensets).

Default Scrolling When Docked

Is it possible to scroll through track tag names when this script is docked? When I get to a certain number of track names, the new ones just disappear and I don't see a scroll button. Is there something special I have to do (without having to un-dock)?

Hi spk77!

Love this script! I am using it when I edit midi tracks and have found
an annoying thing. When in midi editor and having trackview on right
side, when I click a tag nothing happens until I click under the tracks
in trackview. Is it possible to make the trackview respond direct to the
selected track tag?

Another question - is it possible to make Track_tag solo the tracks that
is tagged? Maybe with command keys like ALT + clicked tag?

Actually, is there currently a way to have the Auto-created folders to also auto-update their names when a track is named something else?

It is 3000 lines long as it is, pretty huge for maintenance for other coders and it has been a long time since we didn't see spk77

I wonder if this script wouldn't benefit from a ReaImGui rewrite, as buttons in it are very concize to handle, and things like scrollbars etc car kinda native to it.

Yeah, saw that as well, but thought it was a mock-up in some image\vector editor. ImGui is quite nice. I think ReShade (for games) use it for its GUI.

Hi,

Wonder where I set the font & fontsize? I really like this tag script but I want to have it showing the same size and font I have on the tracks. Is that possible somewhere in the lua file? I can zoom in and out but the smallest is what the image below is

OS: Manjaro KDE Plasma

Thanks

I love this script, I use it everyday and really can't go without it!

My only question: Is it possible to edit something in the script so "Use Fixed Sized Buttons" is the default when it is run?

I used it in a smaller docked window and this feature makes things much more tidy, I just wish that I didn't have to select the option every time I open it!

Thank you!

Default BirdBird has a version of this script

BirdBird has script that basically does the same thing. It seems to be more stable. However, the original by spk77 is superior in functionality, its just unstable.
