Recieve Bulk MIDI Dump. How?

I want to back up my MIDI device settings and patches. It's a Roland VF-1 Guitar FX Processor. I have clear instruction how to set up the VF-1 to dump but I need to know how to get Reaper to receive/load the dump and save it. And then, of course I will need to know how to get Reaper to Bulk Dump it back to my VF-1. Of course I have clear instructions on how to get the VF-1 to receive the back up file.
Does anyone hear know how to set up Reaper to do this?

Set input to the correct midi port and hit record then send the dump from the device.
I think you can only save to midi file rather than as sysex....though not sure on that.

Another option to save direct to sysex is to use midi-ox.
