Default Reaper Omnisphere project works with no crash until Reaper exit and restart crash.

Reaper Omnisphere project works with no crash until an exit of Reaper and reload of project. This crashes before Reaper is completely loaded.

A Omnisphere Project worked with no crashes as more plugins were added. Then a save and exit and restart of Reaper reloading Omnisphere project produces crash. This is reproducible.

Have found out Reaper fails to load over 4 Omnisphere 2.6 patches when restarting Reaper (done by adding one Omnisphere 2.6 patch at a time).

Omnisphere 2.6 patches used are PR12 - Unsafe Spaces.

Have loaded two projects for you to try.

1. OmniTS 5 Omnisphere effects disabled - should load without problem and enable effects to use Omnispheres.
2. OmniTS 5 Omnisphere effects enabled - should crash before loading complete.

Disabling Omnisphere effects is the only way to use more than 4 instances of more complicated Omnisphere 2.6 patches before saving a project, so that it reloads quickly and just needs its effect enabling. This is quicker than loading project with effects offline in than in recovery mode. Temporary work around.

After you exit Reaper, see if it's still running any reaper_host processes in the task manager. Sounds like Omnisphere doesn't close properly when Reaper does. If that's the case, maybe you can try running it in a dedicated or separate process (right click it in the fx browser). Might help.

No, when I first discovered the bug It was the next day, after running the project with Omnisphere's and other fx plugins without any crashes. Starting cold the next day Reaper crashed when starting to load the project.

I found by elimination that the plugin causing the problem appeared to be Omnisphere 2.6, or it could be the way Reaper loads Omnisphere, or both. Since when I saved a project with the effects(Omnisphere's) disabled, Reaper loads the project without crashing. On enabling the effects(Omnisphere's) the project did no crash and ran as normal.

I have the latest updates for Omnisphere and Keyscape
Have Windows 7 Pro x64 all updates
No crashes here I will have to wait till tomorrow to let you know what version of Reaper I am currently running.
Just to compare.

Default Bug to be fixed in next Spectrasonics update

Have good news from Spectrasonics "Our dev team has fixed the bug, it will be included in our next update".

So until then temorary work around can be used.
