5.974 - FX doesn't flush tail when rendering regions
When rendering, tails from previous region will be audible at start of next region.
Repro steps -
Create new session
put two separated sounds (e.g. kick drum hit) in session on same track
draw two regions around separated sounds
add FX that creates tail (e.g. long reverb, long delay)
render both regions
observe the trail from region 1 is audible at the start of region 2
Is more obvious if you extend the regions earlier, so there should be silence at the start of region 2.
Pretty bummed about this as unless there's a quick fix this means I can't render multiple regions in any session with tail FX... which makes my life (and any game audio folk) pretty difficult. I'm hoping I've missed a setting somewhere but I had a look through the preferences and couldn't see a 'flush FX when rendering' that got added recently.
EDIT - May be melda effects only

Going to bump this as it's pretty problematic for people rendering multiple regions... so I don't want it getting lost in the forum. Currently I'm having to render one region at a time, and i have projects with hundreds of regions that need rendering.

I can't make this happen with a test project and ReaDelay. Can you? If not, what FX are you using? If you right-click that FX in the Add FX dialog, is "hard reset on playback start" enabled?

Perhaps you can post a minimal test project, too?

I'll take a look first thing tomorrow. FWIW I'm using melda effects.

I have confirmed that I can only repro this with Melda effects. Hard reset on playback start is switched ON.
I'm using VST3, not sure about VST2.4. I am actually running their beta for v13.00c, but this problem was not occurring before the Reaper 5.974 update, so I think it's obviously something to do with the latest Reaper update.

Here's a test project. Just render out both regions as per the repro steps. You'll need Melda's MReverbMB VST3, I believe you guys have all their plugins.
Thanks!

Using MMultiBandDelay, the behavior I see is the same in 5.973 and 5.974. The FX flushes properly with "hard reset" enabled, and does not flush properly otherwise.

I see the same behavior with their reverb. Are you sure you have enabled hard reset in your test?

Yeah, positive. Hmmm, I'm not sure why we're seeing different outputs then. Is there any other preference that could be causing this? Or anything else that has changed?

Just to rule it out, I reverted back to the latest non-beta Melda effects (v12.12) and it is still happening. So it is not the fact that I'm using the Melda beta

Would you mind testing with MMultiBandDelay?

Yep still broken.
One thing, they changed the names from 'Multiband' to 'MB' quite a while back, so it sounds like you're on an old version. Perhaps update?

Sounds like this might get fixed on their end (the VST3s don't currently clear the delay lines in response to either setActive or setProcessing calls).
