Hi Albert, does your new mixer design do multi row when it is in a separate mixer window? Does it support track icons? Does it support stereo and dual pan modes?

Thanks!

Thanks for your work Albert.

I really like the way you re-imagined the theme, I was not interested in your previous versions (albeit very well done) because I was not looking for a Protools clone, but now it looks like a real departure from it, and I think it's a good thing.

Very nice, clean and looks quite functional, donation sent for trial. I will certainly donate again once the final version is released.

Keep up the (impressive) good work!

Edit: wow it was quick for the link!

Yesterday i sent my donation and received this wonderful theme! nice job!
I want to contribute to this project with some advices that can be useful or not, you guys decide

Actually i can't use this theme for my everyday working sessions because of some little things:

- On my 24" screen to actually use mute and solo button on the mcp i need to click under those buttons. if i click on the buttons the pan control is affected (wich is above m&s).

- it's not so clear when a track is selected or not on the TCP, and sometimes this can lead to mistakes during editing.

- i found a totally dark theme a bit fatiguing, especially the TCP background, some lighter (not so much) midtones could be more pleasing during long editing session.

Nice to read that you are bringing back coloured items (all that black it's too much XD).

A question: my custom toolbars doesn't blend well with the theme, there's a way to make them blend better?
thank you guys!
And thank you Albert! Keep going on!

The most bugs are already fixed for next update, to custom buttons on the toolbar, use a new toolbar.
Thanks

Albert, first of all let me thank you for this wonderful theme! I found some issues, it will be great if you'll fix it or look at them

Mixer:

1. Is it possible to see the line or how many db I sent to other channels in send? Right now I can see only send, but not send amount, so I need to always hover the mouse or click to see how many db I'm sending.

TCP:

2. Arrangement (editing) area seem to be too dark and it's much harder to edit than using standard theme. I understand that it fits to theme's colors nicely, but is it possible to make it more "readable"?

3. Is it possible to make selected track more pronounceable? Right now it is really hard to define, which track is selected.

-----------------------------------------

Again, thank you very much for such a great work!

That's not true, there are quite a few that do, you just haven't seen them.

If you don't want to pay for it then use a free theme. You can't "bully" talented people into giving up their time for free by asking them not to charge for it.

Why don't you also do the same by not getting paid at your place of work.

I suppose music and film should also be free right?

A lot of us want a utopia but this is not the way to go about it!

Alberto,
I know you have made a disclaimer that the alpha 4.0 is not in perfect condition and i want to confirm that as well.

here is a list of what I have found:
  • Hide Playrate indicator-slider: hides only the slider, the background still present
  • Tempo panel is taking any empty space on the transport bar, click empty transport area = activates Tempo change; can only hit Escape to discard from it
  • Click Length Time Selection: numbers overlap with the panel
  • The bottom bar in every track in the Mixer view I suggest could be used to reflect Color state of a track or Folder state... or just to be removed completely - now it is just a waste of space.
If above concerns the Folder state then the Folder state under Sends pannel is not needed there! (taking space again)

These are just my suggestions, a humbled critics if you allow me to express it. Other than these the theme is Total sell-out and I like it a lot!

So just to clarify for a newbie...
I loved this theme from the first time I saw it so I donated and promptly got the link and started using it. AWESOME! No problems, all good. Question is:
With the new work you're continually posting about it (which looks great), are you releasing updates or something? Or are you just gunna release a final version when you're done?
No bid deal, just curious about how that works. Love the theme, I don't use Reaper without it!

Yes, not to pressure at all Albert but just curious as to when you are planning on doing another release. I would love to use this theme, but personally I must wait for the new multi row friendly layout you have shown. Not hoping for a rush, just wondering what you are anticipating. I'm patient, just curious.

Thanks!

Dear Albert, many thanks !

One issue i experience:

When i select a Track in TCP, it doesn't change color / shade, so i can't really see that it is selected ...
Am i missing something ?

OSX 10.10.5 , Reaper 5.111rc1 , 64 bit version

I can't seem to make track coloring to work, in the preferences "tint track panel backgrounds" is grey, theme is overriding it? Otherwise, great work albert!

i am on a win 7 64system, too.

yes, there is a layout. i have two screens. on the left are the tracks and on the right screen my mixer. (the screen layout is changed in windows. the buttom toolbar spreads across both screens in order to get the layout in reaper without having an extra window for the mixer)

but i tested it with a "normal" one-screen-layout and still, the buttons won`t work in the mixer panel.
