Reaper and Pianoteq VST

Just starting with Reaper (5.96.500 64-bit) on Mac mini i5 2.3GHZ OS 10.10.5). Getting frequent crashes/quit linked to using Pianoteq VST plugin. Importing a multitrack midi file in which I assign the piano track to a Reaper track using the Pianoteq (latest) plugin. It works OK about 50% of the times.
If I open a new project, however, I get this message every time (see attachment). Any suggestions?

Download the latest version of Pianoteq again and reinstall it. If that doesn't work email Moddart's support.

Your fix worked! (just when I thought I had the latest version, I didn't, i.e 6.3 vs 6.3.1).
Moddart, however did not announce the new version...don't know why.
