Default Notation clef scripts?

Sort of a petty issue, but it would be nice to have an action to quickly change clefs in the notation editor. Obviously there is nothing in the action editor for something like this so was wondering if there are any scripts for such a task.

Your probably better off using an external notation. I was told once that people at reaper never intended it to be a full function notation, what there intension is, no clue.

What a strange comment to make. REAPER's notation is already impressively functional and more capable than most VI composers would ever need.

Re the OP's question, I am not aware of any scripts to change clefs, but it would be easy to write them, since they simply insert a MIDI event with text like "MEAS clef bass".

That's a good idea. Lately it seems inevitable that I just bite the bullet and start learning how to script, because it seems like there is a lot of functionality to gain from being able to do so.

Are you aware of any scripts that insert a specific midi item without using track templates?

Reaper's notation is really great, I use it to compose and orchestrate everything I do, then I just export via xml into Dorico and polish it there.

Part of its greateness is scripting, it can multiply usability greatly, so I really recommend learning to script. You can see how all notation events' code look in the event mode or in the RAW MIDI data viewer.

For inserting an empty MIDI item, there is this function https://www.extremraym.com/cloud/rea...MIDIItemInProj. For a "specific" MIDI item, where would to get it from?
