Default What's the Most Effective Way to Disable the HTML Transport Functions?

Hello.

With the intentions of reducing internet/intranet security loopholes and target surfaces, what is the most effective way to disable the HTML Transport Functions in 32-bit REAPER for Windows?

I know I will never use that type of transport interface and it dismays me that it defaults to a weak password and that anything bluetooth and/or internet and/or router related even ended up in such an otherwise excellent audio-related program.

Without devolving into a sideshow conversation about the philosophy and practice of digital security, please just let me know how I can disable the "networking feature creep" of this type of thing ASAP (short of downgrading to a much older version of REAPER from the many years preceding this stuff).

Any ideas? Please, if you don't know the answer, that's OK. I'm not seeking arguments, just let those who do know answer instead.

Happy Holidays and thanks in advance.

It's not enabled by default. If you did enable it, just remove the web browser interface(s) from the list in Preferences > Control/OSC/web.

(Alternatively, to preserve the settings, you can use Edit instead of Remove and untick the "Run web server on port" checkbox for all web browser interfaces in the list.)

Keep in mind that the HTML interface is only accessible on the same LAN (wifi) as the Reaper PC. If a hacker broke into your wifi router I doubt they'd waste energy starting and stopping Reaper playback or whatever. They'd probably look for credit card numbers or identity info.
