How to ignore time-selection while recording?

I want the recording to continue at the end of the selection, instead of creating new takes.

Turn off repeat from the transport bar. Or if you don't ever want takes when looping a section, turn that off in Options menu/new recording that overlaps...

Also if you right click transport there is an option for stopping at end of time sel when looping is disabled, that you'll want to uncheck.
