First post in a long time. I need to add a CC command as part of a MIDI file. I've read the manual on it, and it does not seem to work for me, as it's not triggering what it should be triggering. User error, I am quite sure. So, if I want to add an event that sends a CC 102 (with any value, it's the CC event that is important), how do I do that?

In the MIDI editor - piano roll - you can enter any CC by double-clicking in the CC lane. It defaults to "Velocity", but that can be changed to any CC by selecting from the drop-down list - bottom-left.
If you need to change a CC value, select "Mode Event List" (Alt + 3) and double-click on the CC event's "Parameter" column. A dialogue will open which allows you to change CC type, etc.

maybe to clarify... in the ME piano roll, at the bottom you will usually see a cc lane for velocity by default.
look on the name field for that and see a little + sign, clk it and you will open another cc lane above the velo lane...
It will say what it is for... like MSB, etc.
Clk the little down triangle on it and scroll through the list until you find 102 and clk that...
now that lane will be 102 or whatever you have choosen...
then clk in the lane to add an event
you can also do it all in the List View... just add a new text event and then edit it to be a CC event on 102 with a value of say 50 at the position you want...
