Default REAPER Prefs Location

It would be nice if we could choose where the REAPER Prefs/Config folder was located, and have it be stored in our Dropbox sync folder so it could be used by all 3 of my Macs.

This would save me time having to manually keep all 3 computers in sync when it comes to prefs/shortcuts etc even though the REAPER Import/Export option is fast as hell and the best of any DAW or app period that I've seen.

Just trying to save a little time, but mostly trying to make it so my recents project list is in sync no matter what computer I'm working at.

multiple ResourceFolders would be cool.

Though I have no idea, how much difficulty it would be in regards of Mac/Linux/Win-cross-platform-issues.
Being the selected audio-interface being the most obvious, that would then need to be reset time and again, when switching between different computers.

Right. I guess there would have to be an option to always use the same local audio interface.

Would also love this, if it's possible!! Would also be great knowing the entire setup/key bindings/etc are backed up in the cloud automatically when they're changed....

I think it is possible starting REAPER with a different configuration via a "cfgfile pathtoinifile" commandline argument.

I prefer to just use the portable installation where everything is in one folder.

I do as well, but for cross-platform-development of scripts e.g., this would make testing and debugging them a lot more practical.

I'm thinking of looking into this more. To be honest, I never have. I wonder if the portable install can be stored in my Dropbox sync folder so that both my main studio computer and Mac at home can always be in sync.

You can create a symbolic link to the Reaper's resources folder in your dropbox folder. Problem solved.
