Hey All,
I tried Reaper a couple of years back and became so frustrated that I had to put it on hold for awhile. Well I'm back at it for another try and having the same issue so please forgive my ignorance.
I'm trying to make a simple single track recording using the built in MIDI virtual keyboard and I can't hear audio.
Steps so far:
I launched Reaper -> Double clicked to create a new track.
Armed the track to record.
Right clicked the red record button and checked 'Monitor Input'
Input MIDI -> Virtual MIDI keyboard -> All Channels
Assigned the ReaSamplOmatic500 under FX
Set Record Monitoring to 'ON'
Brought up the Virtual Keyboard using Alt + B
Pretty much followed this guys youtube video:

When I click on the keyboard buttons I can see the red line pop up so the signal is getting there but I can't hear it at all.
My computer is Windows 10 and audio runs through a speaker attached to the monitor. That speaker is plugged into the headphone jack since I have an Intel NUC. I have a feeling that my audio input / output preferences are the problem but not sure what they should be set to. I've attached screen shots of those.
Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
