Hello, I play (or try to play) metal songs, and was wanting help for the intro to a new tune. My ears aren't professional. I think what I recorded sounds okay, but to me, it also sounds a bit muddy, and it seems that what primarily (to me) to be because of the fast quick drum and bass at the beginning. I have compression on the kick, but not the bass. I tinkered around a bit with compression and can't really figure it out. I even watched a couple YT videos and, I don't know if I'm just dumb, but it seems to go over my head. I don't understand it.
