Default Changing "Quantize" settings in MIDI items do not always take effect

Perhaps I am expecting the wrong behaviour but to me I seems like a bug:

Upon engaging "Quantize" in MIDI Items and then changing the affected scope from "all Notes" to "selected notes" the change will not reflect - say: still all notes are shown as quantize settings demand. In this case you have to "cancel" and reopen the menu to only affect the desired note.

It will however work the other way round: If "selected notes" was selected previously and then changed to "all notes" this will be instantly reflected in the preview.

This does not seem to be intended to me...

Is this a problem only for me? Happens quite often that the focus of editing has to be changed so it seems a bit awkward to close and reopen the midi editor all the time...

Same problem here (Reaper v6.78)

User must be **very careful** while using MIDI Quantize !! I just realized that I screwed up a 20 minutes project because of this 😠 Non quantize notes are too far in the undo history to recover I've to start again from scratch !

@justin @Schwa this doesn't seems difficult to fix

Cannot reproduce.
REAPER v6.79+dev0424, Windows 10 (both 32-bit)

In MIDI Editor, 3 notes selected from 8 of total notes:

1) opening Quantize dialog with "All notes" selector, all notes are quantized (OK), changing selector to "Selected notes" and now all notes that are not selected are unguantized (OK)

2) opening Quantize dialog with "Selected notes" selector, only the selected notes are quantized (OK), changing selector to "All notes" and now all notes are quantized (OK)
