Default What's the easiest theme on the eye, plz?

I'm not sure which theme to use. Any recomendations? alot of the themes are cofusing especially at muting and soloing tracks, and tracks looks in loop selection.

Thanks for any recomendations.

Not really a plug but you could try mine, it's meant to be clear and easy to use, track loop is pretty obvious. It is a dark theme though. There's a link at the bottom of this post

There are plenty of other really good themes to try though and they are not big downloads. My bet is you will find a few you like to flip between.

BTW - Ctrl + Alt + PageDown is the shortcut to flip between themes

Any other uninhibited themesters want a mention - could be a long thread this

Do you like a dark or a light theme?

I'm using 'Creamy Sixty' as my big screen theme and 'Easy On The Eyes 2.05' as my laptop

I like greens (as in Adobe Audition-Cool Edit) and nutral grays.

Nomolitic is really coming close, if only it has a slightly lighter TCP and mixer view? Any chance?
But I could still use it if no similar lighter ones are there. So where can I get that theme, plz?

I'll check the other ones mentioned here as I get home.

My current fav is Pragmatic 3. Very sleek and easy on my eyes. Only issue I have with it is that the transport could be tweaked to incorporate(display) punch-in recording. Easy On the Eyes 2.5(theme name) is very nice IMO, as well.

My favourites are Easy on the eyes v2.05 and Stumn201.
But the Nomolithic one looks also very nice... I'm gonna give that a try also..

You like Audition - you like greens - you like lighter themes - I think you will like this.

It's SteOne's Adobe Audition Theme

You can download the Adobe Audition here just what you always wanted

I've downloaded the Adobe Audition Theme folder and placed it Reaper's "Color Theme" folder but I can't get it to appear in Reaper's list of themes. Any suggestions, plese?

Check in your Reaper\ColorThemes folder, the file "Adobe Audition 3.0.reapertheme" and the folder "Adobe Audition 3.0" must be in this directory and not in a subfolder.
If these files are in a subfolder in the \ColorThemes Reaper won't find them.

Thank you, I've placed the Adobe folder in Reaper/Color Theme but I'm not getting the same theme as in the picture above. Some elements change but not all of them. I fear I've failed to tick the correct box somewhere. (I always use the Default theme so this is the first time I've tried to change Reaper's appearance.)

What Limeflavour said - or to put it another way:

You don't just copy a single folder into the ColorThemes folder - you have to extract all the files first to C:\Program Files\REAPER\ColorThemes.

That will include a "theme" file (essentially a text file) and a folder which contains the graphics. Sometimes there will be more than one theme file for light and dark or whatever, put them all in the ColorThemes folder

You will think me a terrible fool, but I still can't get the theme to behave.

I downloaded https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/225/Ado...20Theme%20v1.5 and unzipped it, placing what it created, the AA 3.0 V1.5 folder, in C:\Program Files\REAPER\ColorThemes.

The AA Theme folder contained the following: 2 themefiles and two folders, "Adobe Audition 3.0" and "Splash". I took the two theme files and placed them in the root ColorThemes folder as you suggested.

So, to cut a long story short, the content of C:\Program Files\REAPER\ColorThemes is now:

a default.reapertheme, a default folder containing the default images, Adobe Audition 3.0.reapertheme, Adobe Audition 3.0 (Dark Selection).reapertheme and the AA 3.0 V1.5 folder containing "Splash" and "Adobe Audition 3.0".

Reaper now offers the two Adobe themes, and when I load them some of the colours change but certain things, such as the menu buttons, do not.

Sorry to make such a simple matter so confusing.

Go to Preferences->Appearance->Color theme.
Make sure the "Theme requests ui images" box is checked, then choose the right "theme" in the dropdown menu.
This option activates the new graphics.

Getting there. I've done as suggested and now I'm getting green wavs and yellow cursor lines. Progress. But I'm still not getting the buttons and detailing. For example, instead of the main menu buttons with the function named underneath, I'm getting pretty basic "Windowish" buttons.

So near yet so far...

Try this:
Preferences->Appearance.
Check the box "Allow color themes to override".

Yes, Tedwoods picture shows better what I explained before.

This pic shows another "box" that also needs to be checked.

You're all nervous now, aren't you?

Limeflavour and Tedwood, I had tried those options already but thank you for your suggestions; they made me double-check everything. It seemed I wasn't doing anything wrong. In desperation, I moved the Splash folder and Adobe Audition folder out of the AA 3.0 V1.5 folder and placed them in Reaper's root Color Theme folder. That folder now looks very untidy but I now have a lovely new Reaper theme to use - although no Adobe splash screen. Still, you can't have everything.

Thank you very much, everyone. I needed cheering up and the friendly neighbourhood Reaper forum did the job.

Go to Preferences > Advanced UI system tweaks > Custom splash screen image

It should be in the splash folder.

Hope this helps,
Andrew
