Yeah, it's kinda crazy really. Reaper is definitely gaining traction in the DAW market and yet there really seems to be a lack of tutorials out there for it.

Glad you're enjoying them though :0)

It's time for another Reaper tutorial from www.reapertv.co.uk. This weeks covers noise reduction.

Clean Up Noisy Audio in Reaper

Noisy audio can kill any recording but sometimes you can't avoid ambient noise. This tutorial for Reaper DAW shows you how to quickly remove noise from your recordings.

Great for voice overs, podcasts or any other recording where ambient / background noise is problematic.

This tutorial uses stock Reaper plug-ins, no third party or commercial plug-ins required.

Until next week, happy mixing! :0)

Oops!

I've been a bit slack posting the latest tutorial for Reaper this week. So, here it is!

Reaper & Brainkworx bx_Stereomaker Guide

In this weeks Reaper tutorial, we look at taking a mono track and use the awesome Brainworx bx_Stereomaker plugin to create a realistic stereo image.

This plugin is fantastic if you only have a single mono source file (like a guitar, vocal, etc.) and need to make it stereo to give the recording a real sense of width and dynamics.

This tutorial / review shows you real world examples of all the functions and settings and how it impacts upon the sound.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJvDCe3ZZS0

Next new tutorial will be up online this Friday, even though it's Xmas day... enjoy and please Subscribe.

Ahhh, it's Friday again..........ehhhh......huh?....no? ;-)
Thanks again for this new tutorial. It's very nice that you also explain other software especially when it is so versatile to use. And I learned also that it is possible to automate the Bank presets which are in a lot of other Brainworx plugins as well! Thanks again Paul!

Lol, the tutoeial was up on the YouTube Channel Friday, I just forgot to pop on here to update the thread! In my defense, I was watching the new Star Wars movie ;0)

Glad you've enjoyed the tut / review though and I'll be demoing and reviewing a lot more software and plugins in 2016 along with covering a lot of the fundamentals of the recording process.

Lots of Reaper stuff but using it with other tools too :0)

Ahh, great video again Paul. Until now I did not understand the purpose of sub-projects, but now I finally understand what it is all about sub-projects. And although it is not something I would be using, thank you anyway for clearing things up for me!

BTW: What is the theme called you are using?

It's Friday and that means it's ReaperTV tutorial time again!

This weeks video is:

Creating FX Chains in Reaper 5

On a cold weekend in the UK, here's this weeks tutorial from ReaperTV.

Setting Midi Tempo That's Different to the Project Tempo

Sometimes you want to have the tempo of a midi item to be different to that of the project tempo. In this video, I show you how to set the 2 elements to use different midi tempos.

A great technique when copying various midi elements from other locations and getting them to all match up.

I wasn't aware of the midi source ability, really handy !

Offtopic but if you want to make a keybinding to that function, you will have to search for:

Okay, didn't know that, thanks again!
But....how would this be of any use for me? I mean, a drum file that is 200 BPM in a project of 120 BPM? I can imagine when it is 100 BPM or is this just an example of how it is possible to have midi items with a different BPM against the project BPM?

Exactly that, the speed is just an example in the video. The process is the important part. It's just there to demonstrate how to combine differnt tempo midi items into a project. :0)

Whoohoo! It's Friday and time for the latest ReaperTV tutorial.

Beginners Guide to Recording Guitar & Amp Sims like Bias FX or EZ Mix2 in Reaper 5 DAW

There are many ways to record your guitar into a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) like Reaper 5, and in this example, I'll show you how to use a digital audio interface (Roland Quad Capture) to connect your guitar to your computer and set up Reaper 5 to record the input.

I'll also show you how to use both BIAS FX and EZ Mix 2 to change the sounds of the DI (Direct Input) signal and simulate various amps and FX pedals.

If you're new to home recording or recording line level instruments, this tutorial will guide you through the entire process, one step at a time.

Helping you take your home studio, music creation and mixing to the next level.
