Default Cubase Theme

To ease my mind while I play with Reaper I'm working on a Cubase SX Theme. Not sure if I can share this for obvious reasons.

Not quite done yet, as you can see by the funny looking record button on the transport. Question: Can the main toolbar icons be bigger than 16x16?

Looks great so far!
I love to see it posted here.
Currently the icons can't be bigger than 16x16.

I still have to finish some things and then I have to decide if Steinberg will be pissed if I post this.

They may not take to kindly to me posting their graphics on the net.

BTW, what is the "interlaced meters - graphics" option thingy for?

Lawrence, that is so hilariously cool. What an idea. Looks like a transporter accident. I dig it.

Cheers!

Very nice mate, would defo want this if you release it.

I hardly think the icons would take long to knock up, Steinberg don't own the rights to a picture of a black speaker. Or the letter e for effects.

So I don't think you would have much to fear.

This is about as far as I'll be going with this theme. Added some more icons and stuff.

Enjoy.

Thanks Lawrence. Great work!

I like this theme a lot. The icons are easy to distinguish. Very nice on the eyes. I've used Cubase LE quite a bit and always enjoyed the basic look but hated the bizarre "panels" and funky layout. Combine that look with the layout and functionality of Reaper and I'm a happy camper!

I think the Cubase layout is elegant and that some people just don't get it. The key word to
the Cubase/Nuendo interface is "options". People who don't like the panels never have to open
them, you can close them and forget they're there. Others who do like them, like me, use them.

It's the same all through the main interface, which is why it's so great, if you understand it.
You can show and/or hide most everything. One click and the panel is gone forever, unless you
click it again. People complain about a certain layout feature that they never even have to
look at or use which confuses me.

Reaper needs more of those layout options to gain larger appeal. People work differently and
many will configure it in different ways. I for one would like to be able to hide the part of
the screen with track names and see only the audio parts at times.

That may be possible already... don't know.

I liked the way you do it in Logic: you can hide the TCP for one copy of the Arrange window, but display it in other screensets. And as they are auto-saved every time you change anything (unless Locked), linked to current selection and you change them with numeric keys, nothing can be easier: it's like having many specialized GUIs in one DAW...
