I start with a template that has all of my effects buses already set up and folders for all of my main instruments. Drums, bass, vocals, percussion, miscellaneous, keys. I also have subfolders under vocals for lead vocals and background vocals and have my sends already set up going to the effects as needed. I also have FX chains stored so I can easily bring up my most popular effects combinations.

Click on the Reaper logo, then videos, then expand all categories(bottom right) --- second one down under Setting Up Shop.
