OK, I have to say that this theme is near perfection for me. It is surely an upgrade (for me) from Solaris_LCS, very clean and functional. As my workflow is very mixer-centric, a theme like this has great impact on my speed and efficiency.

A little more feedback, after working a few hours with this theme (and in relation to Luna):

- I really like that the track names are a bit illuminated. It makes finding the name, and by that the track, that much more easy on the eyes.

- The fader level (below the VU-meter) is placed very well (much better than in Luna) and something I actually use for checking if fader pairs are set similar.

- The VU-meters (in the default mixer strip) could be a tad higher, say 30-50%. In Luna the default strip can be resized which takes care of that. Would be a nice option in Mahina as well.

- At first I was missing the input assignments as they only show up when you arm a track, but they also show as a popup when you mouse over and I actually like it this way now. Makes for a much cleaner layout.

-The only thing currently really missing is a little bar in the FX-controls showing the level set, like it's visible in the send controls.

I don't switch themes, I work with just one that 'does it for me' and Mahina hits all the marks so far. So thank you very much for this beautiful theme.

Thanks for checking it out and giving your perspective.
I made quotes appear in green from this point to save space.

Yes, they are part of Albert's original Solaris design.
I think they work really well in this theme.

The fader level (below the VU-meter) is placed very well (much better than in Luna) and something I actually use for checking if fader pairs are set similar. Thanks!
That area was part of the Envelope section in Albert's original design.
I found an earlier version from him that used it as the Vol label instead and thought that was a better, more efficient choice.

The VU-meters (in the default mixer strip) could be a tad higher, say 30-50%. In Luna the default strip can be resized which takes care of that. Would be a nice option in Mahina as well.
LOL, 30-50% is not a 'tad' higher to me, it's pretty big change.
The default in Luna has the FX section outside of the WALTER layout and that allows the resize feature, but it gives the cramped first FX at the top.
It also loses the border around the FX section so that area doesn't look as nice.
I may create a version of Mahina without the Flex Fader layouts and will explore other possiblities at that time.

At first I was missing the input assignments as they only show up when you arm a track, but they also show as a popup when you mouse over and I actually like it this way now. Makes for a much cleaner layout.
Perfect!
That's how it's supposed to work.
I also use the record state to remove the monitor button until needed on some layouts as well.

The only thing currently really missing is a little bar in the FX-controls showing the level set, like it's visible in the send controls.
Not aware of level bar for the FX section.
can you point me to a theme that has this?

Or just get the Solaris_LCS VU-section in Mahina and be done with it
LCS_Gold has a large IO box at the top of the Mixer layout.
It was part of Albert's original design that I changed slightly to suit my tastes:

you can see it in context here.
I may re-instate if/when I make a new version.

I don't switch themes, I work with just one that 'does it for me' and Mahina hits all the marks so far. So thank you very much for this beautiful theme.
You're welcome!
I appreciate the thoughtful feedback.

You're welcome. Happy to give a tiny bit of time back to such great theme development. And thanks of course for considering my suggestions.

Yeah, me looking at a 2K monitor full screen mixer gives a bit of a skewed perspective probably

Not sure if I recall this correctly, so it's possible I'm wrong in assuming this exists. Will dig around a bit in other themes I've used over the years to see if something shows. I let you know.

Thanks, I'd like to check it out if does exist.

I found the link I gave to see the I/O panel posted above in context was broken.
I fixed the link, but you see it here
