Did you install codecs? Did the video work before update?

Default Thanks Vitalker

Following instructions on the support page: > preferences> media> Video/REX/Misc> Video Decoder Info: VLC PATH NOT FOUND, INSTALL VLC...so I reinstalled VLC.
Problem solved. But I am not new in using video. What changed to cause this?
What can cause these random situations? I am asking because it is not the first time I experience these.
Thanks again for your precious help.

I don't think they are random. The best practice is to download portable VLC, extract and move VLC folder to Reaper's folder. In this case reaper.exe and VLC folder will be at the same level.

Default Other Person in Need of Help

Hello,

I am also having the same issue. I have tried downloading VLC and putting it under reaper, but this does not seem to help in connecting reaper to VLC.

What did you guys do to fix this? I am using Windows 64bit, and I've downloaded VLC 2.2.8, 3.0.3, and 3.0.4 to try t see what Reaper recognizes, but nothing seems to trigger a check

How do I get reaper to connect with one of these? So far, it doesn't seem to know how to do it automatically.

Thank you.
