Ambisonics Using Facebook Plugin Suite
I haven't yet looked into compatibility of the Facebook plugin suite mentioned in the following blog about Ambisonics in ProTools but it is an interesting read/watch.
I have yet to listen to the audio from these videos on headphones but I'm keen to hear how effective the Facebook suite is at creating Binaural output. Have a look at this... Ambisonics in ProTools

Ambisonics visualiser
Hi ReaDave
Thanks so much for such a concise and thorough list. It has been really useful as a beginner. I am wondering can you advise, is there a free ambisonics visualiser - say, similar to Harpex-B? Obviously Harpex-B is a valid consideration, and I think it comes with a 30 day trial, but do you know of anything similar and open source? Like I said, I'm just starting out so it could be an obvious answer. I use the ATK pack and have some DearReality stuff. But mostly working with Reaper ATK Many thanks! O3A Flare in the free Blue Ripple Sound core package has a similar look to the visualization. If you want the multiple discrete signal tracking behaviour then sldoa from the free Sparta plugin package is closest that I've found to it.

Best me to it plush2! Blue Ripple Core suite with the visualizer was going to be my exact suggestion.
buaic_, welcome aboard! Glad this list has been useful for you.

Rather than a bunch of links, some of which are duplicates, I've compiled a powerful & useful list of ~15 suites which goes IN-DEPTH into each suite/soft here
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...x1TirK/pubhtml documenting: * Convention (fuma/ambix) * Price * Inputs * Order * Manipulators * Effects * Meters * Converter * Decoder * Notes |

Well done, a very useful document.
But the Facebook 360 suite is not limited to 8 channels TBE and supports up to 3rd order regular ambisonics. TBE is actually only needed for exporting video for compatible players. |

Ooh.... What have I gotten myself into here?!!!
Seriously though, good stuff guys. I'll go through all this over the weekend and update the lists. Junh, that's a great resource you have compiled. I'll add a link to the top of the software list for easy reference. IMHO, your list will be a good companion to the clickable links.

Apologies everyone. It's been a crazy week here and I haven't had a chance to go through these lists yet. Hopefully I'll get a chance to get everything done this weekend.

my 4 cents
Maybe I'll add spatial/ambisonic/binaural tools I've found so far:
- The ICST ambisonic plugins: https://ambisonics.ch/page/icst-ambisonics-plugins - SoundField by RODE VST plugin: https://rode.com/en/software/soundfield-by-rode - Resonance Audio monitor by Google (binauraliser used by YouTube): https://resonance-audio.github.io/re...etting-started - and my biggest recent find: EBU EAR production suite (to work with Audio Definition Models in Reaper): https://github.com/ebu/ear-production-suite/ |
