well you're never going to get them bwwwwaahh ha ha ha! I refuse to take up any more space for silly math do-dads. you must have stellar eye tracking to be able to look at a bunch of tracks and scan for specific and tiny symbols.

I can't contribute because I suck, but I am eagerly awaiting this theme.
I vote for pixeltarian's suggestion of OCD for a name. I am guessing that it will be a good description of this collaboration when it is done .

Nice one brucie, I had thought of ROCKET but couldn't find matching words, haha
OCD is nice and short, we could use it, unless we can come up with something better.

Name: I think what is the most significant factor is that its not only a community but a GLOBAL community. Here we are, all from different parts of the world, working together for something that we care about. It's a model of the future beyond politics and religion.
Project Unity
A.F.O - All For One
Communion (Little UFO vibe?)
Convergence
Wally World
Planet Us
Project G.U.I.D.O. (Graphic User Interface Design Operatives)
----
And now for something completely different:
One World Under Walter
The People's Popular Front For The Redistribution Of Artistic Power In Graphic User Interface Design As It Pertains To Reaper, No Offense Cockos. (P.P.F.R.A.P.G.U.I.D.P.R.N.O.C.)

Just an opinion:
Rocket sounds cool.
OCD is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in the real world - sorta has a negative connotation.

Hello people
Kommunity Intelligent Theme : K.I.T
Stylish Advanced Kommunity Order (!!!) : S.A.K.O
Kommunity Experienced Net Theme: K.E.N.T
O.C.T.A.V sounds good though.
This mockup is just brillant!

Brice, how about you post a link to that big piece of artwork of yours.
And I do think the rules White Tie put forth are a good idea to adhere to. This means that "I don't like it" in all its colourful forms counts for nothing if there is no argument of any substance attached to it.
"I don't like it because <acute observation of behaviour> leads to <catastrophic result>" is a good argument, because it actualy contains an argument of substance, not just an opinion of a personal nature.
So keep the opinions to a minimum. If you're talking about aesthetics, say so. If you're talking about function, say so. If you want something to be different, there better be a good reason to with that request.

I think some rough ideas on the theme is more important than the icon, or the name.

Hey Brice, is there a place where some of the graphics from your various fantastic themes are already "chopped up" into usable subsets?
Thanks.

now this is encouraging... the community getting together and getting something done in this regard, instead of just getting upset
can't wait to see what results from this!

Yeah! I'm very keen on contributing something useful, but alas up till now...
Maybe the best thing I can do at the moment is just to shut up while the grown-ups talk.

I'll start posting bits tonight,
I work with Photoshop (doubt I'll force myself to use inkscape for this project)
What do you guys think about using dropbox (or similar) to work,
so we can constantly have the lastest bits.
otherwise some ftp server,
better ideas?

Daaaaaaaamn thanx for sharing this link mate.... loooks amazing hope it does what they are saying it does and works well. Gonna give this a try Just wonder what are the size file limits you can upload? Is this for file like Photos, pdf etc... or even wave, mp3's etc..?
One thing for sure, if it works as they explain works "instant", this service will become BIG!!!!

Airon: indeed, I'm also a fan of constructive criticism, not
If (most) everyone is ok with OCTAVE can a mod rename this thread to "OCTAVE - Open Community Theme"
And I'll edit my first post adding a few simple rules.

Gett doesn't seem collaborative, probably a nice place to upload stuff...
but it wouldn't give a holistic view of what everyone is doing.

The name issue is probably best treated like a painting - wait till it's finished, then let it name itself.

It should be okay as long as we don't kill some guy named "Piggy" and use his glasses to make our fires while praying to a pig's head stuck on a stick. I've seen this kind of thing happen before.
