Wrong link in previous post. Here's the new one:

https://stash.reaper.fm/oldsb/16061/R...FM_Sweep_1.wav

Rated "R".

I've been listening for an hour or so. Loving it. Huge diversity, and lots of cool songs.

I already contributed a song from my band with this link. (Mixed in Reaper.)

I've tried to listen several times with VLC. Most times I get a "HTTP authentification" login screen prompting me for a user name and password. A few days ago it worked however. The following day I tried again and got a nice white noise only. Now the login screen is back.
Media Player Classic "can't render the file".
Someone else with problems like these?

Is the radio station linked from the main page somehow? If not, I think it would be cool to have a section that has a link to the radio station and a list of artists and song titles that are part of the stream. Right now, I get the song title, but I have no idea what member wrote what song. I think this would be good for three reasons.

1.) To promote the software
2.) To promote the artist
3.) To provide information for community-building that extends beyond the forum.

My 2 cents.

Really fken awesome! sweet songs, nice variety

I really like that intro voice "REAPER.. dot FM.."

I had the impression it was going to say "REAPER.. it really whips the lamas ass!"

Curious, how much stuff have you got in your song database so far? and how many full albums, vs singles?

PS:
http://reaper.fm:8888/

on that page, the "Stream URL" is broken, needs "http://"

Default licensing on contributed material?

Can we capture the Reaper FM stream without worrying about any contributors getting their panties in a wad?

I slapped a "Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 license" on Mr GreenJeans "Exits" so in the odd instance anyone wants it - have at it.

How are you other contributors are handling the license - or lack thereof?

btw - I'm getting a lot of enjoyment from Reaper FM (when it's up), I hope it lasts

I've been listening pretty regularly when I can catch it online. I gotta say, I LOVE IT! I personally truly, truly get off listening to good music produced by people who primarily do it for the love of doing it. This stuff is awesome. Current commercial radio sucks IMO... at least in my part of the world...

Keep it up guys! Maybe I'll have something polished up enough to contribute soon.

Hi Pipe,

How long will songs stay on the playlist once they've been submitted?

Default Booyah Alert!

Man, I can't believe Scott Stillwell said 'Booyah!' on the air!

That takes me back to an ep launch we had...the main support's lead singer in between songs yelled out 'Booyah, Motherfuckas!'

...you could actually feel the crowd cringe...

To anybody who wants to know how to submit there is now a Reaper radio link at the top of the main Reaper webpage

Cheers

So, if I take songs I recorded with Cubase and "remaster" them in REAPER, I can submit them, right?

Technically, but if you're only doing it so that you can submit them then it's sorta not legit.. obviously we can't check what was made with what, so try to keep it reasonable..

Fair enough.
I'll start from scratch. My first project (on REAPER) is almost completed but, it's a cover... No covers right?

Where can I hear more of them?

Did a google but wasn't very helpful...

She's working on some new stuff soon. For some bonus trivia, that was Tony Alva playing bass

REAPER FM is obviously sent by the devil to stop me mixing our rehearsal CD/doing the washing/paying bills/everything else. You never know what you're going to get; it's addictive.
