Default REAPER Live - VST host

When I have enough $ saved, I intend to buy a Receptor (a hardware VST plugin player from muse research). In the meantime, I would like some pc software for the live performance of VST instruments. I do know of forte and chainer, which are good programs in their own right.
But imagine if Cockos took the REAPER code and turned it into a live VST performance platform, complete with patch changes, split points, VST parameters controllable via MIDI, and all the other features that members of this forum would put forward.. Now thats a product I would purchase in a heartbeat. Please leave a comment with your thoughts.
