Midi step input playback vertical line

Hello,

I'm new to Reaper ; when i try to playback a file , the vertical line that follow the music is " flashing " sort of .I mean it is not a solid moving ligne as expected. This happened while i was trying to play a midi
file . Am i missing something here ?

being new to reaper ... 'am I missing something' is likely the understatement of the decade... LOL...

Of course you are missing 'something'

you can set up the play and edit cursors to look and behave pretty much as you like... start with looking in the pref's in the theme area...

I have my edit cursor flashing blue and drk red... makes it easy to spot.. and my play cursor 2 px wide faded yellow...

reaper has more user controls than you can shake two Cubases at.
