De-ess Trick Using Melodyne

I have found this method gives the most flexibility De-essing vocals. Of course you need Melodyne. Duplicate the vocal track with Melodyne. On one track remove all the sibilance, using the sibilance balance tool. On the second track just keep all of the sibilant information. Send to a bus or folder. You now can process the track without the sibilance to your hearts content, while blending the non processed sibilant material to taste.
