A big round of applause for the addition of Clap support!
This is most excellent news. So far no problems!

Using U-he's MFM 2.5.0, latest build, if I set the plugin scaling to 110% by default and open the plugin's GUI, there's a white bar that cuts off the bottom 10% of the screen. If I resize the plugin window to 100% then back to 110%, the white bar is gone until I close the GUI and reopen it.
This is with Windows, 100% dpi scaling, CLAP version of MFM2.5.
And thanks for CLAP!

I don't think Clap plugins are showing up in the 'recently used' section

Same thing with UI scaling happening here with the U-He MFM latest clap beta build.
Set the plugin to 110% and there is a white strip at the bottom of the plugin interface.

On my M1 Mac now...
1. Can't get MFM 2.5 to scan at all. Fails each time. CLAP version, silicon version of Reaper.
2. Similar issues with non-100% sized GUI's with Diva, ACE, and Hive.
3. Using any of the U-he plugins, if I set the the GUI size from 120% to 100%, then close and reopen the interface, it opens at 120%.
Note: these might be U-he bugs and I can report to them just figured since it was a first build of CLAP support and they work in Bitwig that it may be worth mentioning.

Interesting, thanks. A lot of people have been asking for the shiny new thing. Are there any CLAP-specific features implemented in REAPER which deserve focused testing?

Did you have an opportunity to consider Sexan's suggestion about mirroring envelope edits to edit-grouped followers? In any case, bumping it. ;-)
Thanks

Awesome, did a quick test and found it working well mostly.
Small finding:
If you quickly drag a parameter slider in the default UI outside the control's bounds, the handle will stay somewhere inbetween instead of hitting the left or right border until you lift the mouse button.
Also, would be great if param modulation would send dedicated PARAM_MOD events to the plugin.

Tried v2.11 of CLAP version of Chowdsp Tape and BYOD from here: https://chowdsp.com/nightly.html
Plugin scans fine. Opens, scales.
Media Explorer somehow stops being interactive when one of those two CLAP plugins is open though. In fact, Reaper won't play any more and what can you do, it's the first version.
This does not happen on the VST or VST3 versions.

Nice, thanks!)
And what about address the case when user records into a specific lane but option set to "Creates new media item in fixed lanes"?
For now it place a new item overlapped with others on a single lane.
I don't see the case when it could be useful...
I suggest an idea to combine take and lane systems.
So on a lane for recording there will takes, and on other lanes (if there is a space) or on a new lanes there will stored a whole record passes.
So we could choose best comping workflow right while comping. For some parts we could use take, for some - lanes. I see how I can use it in ADR recording.
Also it would be useful for any session when you need to give to a client a comped track and all untouched recordings as a stems for a future editing on his side.

I have a problem with TAL-DAC and TAL-Drum CLAP plugins, and not sure if this is a REAPER or TAL thing, yet. They are being scanned but they do not appear in the FX Browser.
Snipped from 'reaper-clap-win64.ini' - I've left the AudioThing Wires plugin lines for comparison.
Code:
[Wires.clap]
_=00942BF81887D80171FF5E32FF87D801
com.AudioThing.Wires=0|Wires (AudioThing)
[TAL-DAC.clap]
_=E76898837D8FD801BAF397837D8FD801
[TAL-Drum.clap]
_=372B410DA08FD80193A4FE4EE38DD801
Both TAL plugins are missing their full name and display name. All other CLAPs are working as expected, including Odin 2 and Vital. I'm not seeing any of the issues that some folks have reported, but I'm also not testing beta plugins... : )

CLAPs
First: Amazing! Yay! I'm so glad this is happening! Thank you!
CLAP working: I tested SurgeXT (which seemed to work file), Clap Saw Demo (ditto, but on linux I think we won't get a UI if you don't implement POSIX_FD), and also my one-clap-300-airwindows port ( https://github.com/baconpaul/airwin2clap) and you unpacked all those claps and ran them with generic UIs without problem it seems.
I had less luck with CLAPs which generate MIDI or Clap Events
1. B-Step ( https://github.com/surge-synthesizer/b-step with nightly from https://github.com/surge-synthesizer...es/tag/Nightly) - the VST3 generates midi out which drives a subsequent synth but the CLAP shows transport (the sequencer clicks across the top) but the midi out seems to be discarded. `clap-info` shows that we do indeed advertise an output note port of dialect `MIDI` so I think maybe output note ports are not quite working?
2. I have a set of small CLAPs which turn microtuning into note expressions. ( https://github.com/surge-synthesizer/tuning-note-claps). Its note output port is preferred to CLAP but it seems the CLAP_NOTE_EXPRESSION events it generates don't get passed down the reaper pipe.
Happy to help debug either of these. You know where to reach me.

As a general thing it would save us some time when you are reporting a CLAP bug, if you could point to where the plugin can be downloaded, because most/all of the plugins are still in development so the builds are sometimes posted in out-of-the-way places.

I've just released a CLAP plugin build here - Linux only: https://www.acmt.co.uk/products/down...3sa/index.html
Works in Bitwig, but crashes Reaper when you remove the plug-in (Reaper appears to destroy the plug-in correctly, but then Reaper appears to cause a crash before the deInit call is made to the plug-in. I can 'fix' the issue by preventing the .clap from ever being unloaded, if that helps)
EDIT: In fact, its almost as if Reaper never calls .deinit in the plug-in at all - which in my case could cause issues. Bitwig appears to do the 'right thing' as far as I can tell.

A few initial CLAP observations:
Chow Tape Model, release version 2.11.0 from https://chowdsp.com/products.html scans and loads OK, but opening the GUI causes REAPER's GUI to freeze/stop rendering. It's just the GUI though; I can grab a channel fader for example and adjust it (a tooltip appears) but nothing shows up on the REAPER GUI until I close the Chow Tape GUI. Likewise I can switch from the docked mixer to the docked virtual MIDI keyboard and play some notes with the mouse, but what's actually visible is the docked mixer.
EDIT: actually, the VST versions do the same thing too, so it seems to be a problem with the plugin.
bkFX 0.7.1 from https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=369138 scan OK, but fail to load. They show up in the project bay as "unavailable". The plugins have no GUI, might that have something to do with this?
Succesfully loaded CLAP plugins don't show up in the project bay (neither the FX tab or FX parameters tab). As noted above, CLAP plugins that fail to load show up in the project bay.
All other CLAP plugins I tested (rather quickly though) so far have worked as expected:
Room Reverb 0.6.1: https://github.com/cvde/RoomReverb/
Full Bucket: https://www.fullbucket.de/music/vst.html
PaulXStretch 1.6.0: https://sonosaurus.com/paulxstretch/
Surge XT nightly: https://surge-synthesizer.github.io/nightly_XT
Odin 2.3.3: https://www.thewavewarden.com/odin2
Edit: Win10 21H2 x64

Sorry...U-he builds can be found here:
https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=582950
This won't be as fast as direct links, but also makes it easy to find CLAP plugins - it's a website/database of available CLAP plugins. Thanks to teilo from KVR for doing this:
