Default UP To DATE mackie contol

PLEASE, make reaper a 2020 prepared DAW. Its ridiculous that is the only DAW i know of that doesn't give a newer and customized mackie control for new surfaces.

Ableton live Does
Harrison MixBus Does
Logic Pro x Does
Cubase Does
Presonus Studio One Does
Bitwig Does

This is exactly one of the issues, the CSI extension addresses.

(Reaper is designed to be just the basis for a modular system, infinitely extensible in many directions.)

My problem with CSI is i dont even know how to setup the Behringer X touch to control things, i have it working but i didnt realize how i change what does what! would be great a video or pdf with step by step

Unfortunately the CSI documentation still is in it's infancy. But the latest post in the appropriate thread in the "Control Surfaces" forum is:

I do suppose this makes it much more worthwhile to invest some work in doing your CSI configuration than to post a (very likely pointless) feature request towards the Reaper devs.

As the (big) XTouch works with the Mackie Protocol, support by CSI should already be at a very usable level "out of the box". Regarding special tweaking for this device and for your intended workflow you should ask in the forum thread and very likely get helpful answers really fast.
