Default Front of House Console Theme

Is anyone aware of a Theme designed to be used as a TOUCHSCREEN Front of House Live mixer. I am surprised that I cant find one anywhere. I'm wanting to learn WALTER to create one myself, but am not even getting to first base with it.

The only things a theme can really do that would help are making everything larger and maybe limiting which elements you see on the mixer. The default v5 theme has some large layouts for the MCP, and White Tie made it very easy to modify which elements you see.

What are you specifically looking for?

The problem with touchscreen use in Reaper is that we still don't have full multi-touch support, so you can only control elements one at a time. I've definitely seen some themes with big elements designed for touch though.

Alternatively, you could use OSC and an ipad or similar to control Reaper remotely. Then you will have multi-touch if the device supports it and you can customize the interface with just the elements you want, sized the way you want.

Thanks FoxAsteria, I didn't realize that full multitouch was not yet implemented.

Yes Lokasenna, Larger elements would be a must for the screen, and maybe I can use White ties help on making them larger.

I guess its too much to want at the present time, but I really wish a replica of the Behringer/Midas X32 Edit 3.1 app could be made for Reaper. This thing is the bomb. So much control from just the main screen, and the total layout if awesome. The problem is I'm just not capable. Maybe you guys could take a look at it, and tell me if this would even be possible, or maybe get close to it.

Thanks for the replys....

You might have a look at these...

It's a theme I'm currently working on (based off of MaXiM's theme) that will allow you to pick your size for the Reaper elements at whatever resolution you are working in. Add all five to your ColorThemes folder and use Ctrl-Alt-PgUp or PgDn to switch between the sizes. At larger sizes it seems to work well with my touchscreen monitor.

I kindly suggest you add a screenshot in the stash, you are forcing people to download 5 rars so they know how it looks. That is if they follow this comment and not your
own theme's thread.

One more question,
Is it possible to create a custom button on each track that would toggle open/close fx windows on selected tracks.

I intend to do so once the GUI is finalized (it's changed quite a bit since when I first thought I was ready to put it up).
Also, each theme is complete in itself. Having all five allows for switching "on the fly".
At that time I will also create a dedicated thread for whomever it might be of interest.

The "open FX Window" button is located in between the i/o indicator and the FX Enable/Disable above the pan knobs. If no FX are inserted yet, it will open the FX Browser first. Is that what you are looking for?
Also, any FX already in place on a track can be opened simply by clicking on it.

There are also some preferences that can modify these behaviors.

What I'm looking for is to create a custom action or a cycle action that when I click on the toggle fx button on the next track it will close the previous open fx windows and open the fx windows on the newly selected track. I think I have the actions figured out, I just don't know how to create a custom button on the track and associate it with the actions. It may require scripting, I'm not sure. This is on a theme I am creating.

Thanks hopi! I'm still tweaking it for sure, though I will say it does look a bit different now than the last version I put up. I found some of the 3D "dark-greyish" elements a bit too distracting during work, and am now back to a more flat-ish vivid color scheme as it is seems easier for me to navigate around in.
