Default List of chipsets that interfaces use?

It's hard to find the chipset spec on a lot of interfaces. here's mine:

M-audio Profire 2626 - Dice II (TC Applied Technologies)
(AVID and M-Audio differ from the other units listed in that they do not use the base OEM driver, instead developing and using their own)

Does anyone know of a list that says what chipset certain audio interfaces have?

Or even just a list of all/most of the chips that are used in audio interfaces?
I think it would be great to have some sort of guide to chipsets availible.

There's one that used to be maintained on Gearslutz.

I don't know it for a fact but I've read here and there that the MOTU 828 mkIII is a DiceII clock.

I think the point made often in the GS thread that there's a whole lot more to converter quality and sound than one of the components (even the actual A/D or D/A) is a very good one. Two converters can operate with the same clock and same D/A//A/D and still sound different (to the degree that converters differ which is subtle for the most part in today's technology). Doesn't invalidate a list like this, information is inherently valuable in my view (context is almost always cobbled out of a wide variety of info), but it's good to keep in mind.
