Parallel Fx chaining device
I would like to see a parallel fx chaining system in reaper.
With the current routing system, I often get lost setting up long parallel chains..
I attached an illustration to suggest an implementation.
*In the illustration you load a dedicated chaining device to the fx chain.
*This device is created with parallel tabs underneath, each tab containing a serial fx chain.
*the plus/minus buttons above the tabs allow you to add or remove chains.
*On the right is a mixer display which dynamically creates a volume fader for each chain.
For now, I use the free "minihost modular" vst to do complex parallel chains, but an integrated solution would be awesome :]

You do know that this (in a more flexible way) is already possible using FX "pin" routing (and additional track channels) ?
This is not exactly "handy" but no problem, either,

I know, but with a large number of parallel fx chains it becomes confusing since it's not visually represented.
If you re-open some old forgotten project, you need to go ever each effect to remember how it's routed.

I like to have the option to work within a single channel. It's cleaner and easier to manage.

Have you tried FX Rack (LUA script)? Does exactly this and also features pre/post FX slots.
