Default O/S copy paste to Reaper from Finder, Exporer and other apps not supported

One of the users of Loopcloud alerted us that Loopcloud cannot copy / paste into Reaper. On experimentation it seems that the O/S can't either.

* Copy file from Finder or explorer.
* Switch to Reaper
* Paste menu item is grey and keyboard shortcuts do not work.

If this is an intentional thing, is there a way that we can copy references to local files in a way that will show in Reaper?
If you want to know how we're populating the copy buffer please send me a PM and I'll share the relevant code for mac and windows.

Drag and drop does indeed work just fine.

Any chance this could get an 'official' opinion about whether it's an issue that may get fixed?

Even if it's 'on the backlog' or 'wont fix' it would be nice to update and close the ticket with that as an outcome.

Thanks!
Dave

Default The Old Days....

I remember waaay back when I could copy MIDI data from Cakewalk into and out of Finale using simple copy/paste. Is there really no way to copy data back and forth anymore? I've just found myself having to write a lot of arrangements of songs I already have recorded, and could save so much time if there was an easy way to at least get started via simple copy/paste.
