Afaik, kindle should support pdf, but you could try using calibre to convert it to more comfortable mobi format,

I have Kindle for iPad. There is this option where I can send pdf's to my personal 'kindle email address'. Amazon stores the pdf in the cloud and makes it available under the menu option 'docs'. Perhaps something similar works with a Kindle?

Hi there, a couple of updates:

1) Kim moved the blog to a new address, I'm already updating my document with content from the new location, but all the previous links in the PDF still link to the old blog - and it will be a lot of work to update them, I don't even know if it's worth. The old blog is still working atm, of course it's no longer updated.

2) To whom it may interest, here is an experimental Kindle friendly (mobi format) version of the document, result of Calibre conversion from the PDF source; the index and the links seem broken, and the formatting is not optimal, but it's probably far better usable on Kindle than the original PDF.

http://www.errepici.it/web/download/KLBD_Kindle.asp

Any hint on settings and arrangements in order to improve the Calibre conversion is welcome.

Cheers,
Mario

Mario + Kim have ended that theory!

Thank you so much for collecting and posting this wonderfully insightful information...

Yeah, and I'm still on it, I plan to release an update by the end of April.

In the meanwhile, I've stumbled on some other very cool websites exposing amazing information (with videos and audible examples in some cases!) on mixing and music production in general:

http://simplyrecordingpodcast.com/

http://therecordingrevolution.com/.
Absolutely check their "5 minutes for a better mix" video series, http://therecordingrevolution.com/5minutes/, and their free eBook about #1 rule in recording (less is more, pure gold!).

http://www.homestudiocorner.com/

Note: I'm not commercially involved with any of the above websites, I'm simply trying to use the reference material they publish to improve my mixing and production skills.

Cheers,
Mario

btw, here's a thread Kim started on Harmony Central almost a decade ago. Lots of interesting stuff, if anyone cares to read through it.

The Composition Thread:

http://acapella.harmony-central.com/...osition-Thread

*edit* after perusing the blog dump it seems most of what is valuable in the composition thread is in the blog as well, so probably no need to wade through the thread.

All the suggestions in this thread are very valuable to me as a relative newb. The "5 minutes to a better mix" is great! I will jump into the pdf as soon as I can.

Thanks Mabian,
