Default Latency: any tutorials for Reaper

I am wondering if someone can point me to a tutorial(s), specifically for Reaper (Kenny Gioia would be great!), delving into Latency settings and work-flow to compensate, when dealing with midi/audio/freezing tracks in both tracking and editing?

Midi compensation, plug-in latency, audio/midi nudging, etc in a typical tracking and editing session.

Thanks for the reply... and this article is over 10 years old.

Midi/audio latency and adjusting for it must be a non-issue in DAWS!

I guess this is not as big a deal as I thought...

The article is still valid.... Asio is still the standard audio-api's on Windows , midi is still midi.

Audio latency can be managed pretty well today. On professional equipment you can drill it down to 1-2 milliseconds .

Midi latency is not on a level as audio. Whilst the midi latency can be ignored in an internal scenario (vsti or au) managing external midi , at least for the reaper devs, is still quite a challenge.

Oh, I know... I was hoping for a real-world tutorial... and wow, thanks for the lightening-quick reply...
