This theme was created with Windows 10 and REAPER 6.68.
This theme uses Arial as font and should be installed on Windows 10. Installing predefined menus is not provided.
Make sure you have the following options enabled:
You can set the layouts as new defaults there:
It is recommended to turn off "Show dotted grid lines" in preferences.
If you find any bugs or have any improvement requests you can post them here.
To install this theme, drag the file "Echolot_1.12.ReaperThemeZip" into the REAPER window and drop it.
Here is the downloadlink for v1.12:

It is always one vertical FX column, but it adjusts to the TCP height.

it looks promising! I can't understand how many MCP are available (I'm working on a 13" screen and with large MCP it's a pain to work with). There is some kind of narrow MCP?

Echolot Theme
Even though Im using your PT theme, Echolot theme very easy to use and close to my needs as a DAW environment.
Any chance to be more brighter? Its too dark for me.
Actually, black colour in items is very annoying for my eyes.If I have the change to adjust the items colour to be be brighter that would be great.Im not talking for the waveform but the whole item square.
I believe that this theme will be my new one choice.
Great work

Mawi I have a png file that will give the items the title bar that SONAR has, but you can't use that part of the display to move the actual item. PM me if interested.

Wow! Greatest Sonar theme, I think.
I also vote for lightest (bright like a sonar x3) version.
Oh man, your track faders look amazing! I tried to do something similar in my theme, but they are far from Sonar. But you did it. Great job!

Wow! I actually really like that theme - though it is dark. So a lighter theme would be even more appreciated.
But: Some more layouts would be even more useful! For Folder Tracks, Big Meters etc.

In the past 10+ years I tried almost all themes.
This one felt like home... and the most bizarre thing is... I have never used Sonar (Cakewalk).
Thank you for this theme.
crtisism:
*Wish the faders in the mixer were a bit taller, but this is not that big of a problem honestly!

A really great theme.
It is a pity there are no strips for the mixer in it.
I have gotten used to using them.

v1.1 Update
Hi, Thanks for the kind words, it's very motivating.
I have uploaded an update v1.1 with a few small changes: - Dark grid
- New MCP2 layout with larger volume range
- Some small changes
Thanks for your feedback and hopefully the update is useful.

Top notch theme, very accurate and intelligent. Just don't fancy the brown/orange as the second main color

One request, any chance at a DB scale readout on the TCP? I've tried by doing the standard them hack for that, but I'm not White Tie!

Hey...great theme! Sorry, how do I get it to actually list the FX? I am only getting the column header and + sign, which opens the FX browser. There is no container for the FX below it.
Thanks!

"Options: Show FX inserts in TCP (when size permits)" needs to be on. Can be found on the actions list.

Not my aesthetics but I have to admit that this is one of the most intuitive theme I have seen, easy to understand and find everything, so tidy and clear.
Congrats mawi really good effort

yeah, kinda same.
Is there a way to change this main color to blue? Like the waveforms in your screenshot blue or would I have to edit source files and all that? which I'm bad at hehe
Great theme though

Stylish theme.
Just one thing I would like:
A transport with less height and more width. It takes too much real estate on a small screen, like a laptop.
Maybe a small optional one, pretty please!
Cheers!

At present, there are no narrow MCP. How narrow should it be? Which functions would be important and which not? Do you have any suggestions on how it should look?

It's difficult to make a lighter version now. I haven't even finished the dark one yet. But there are already very good lighter Sonar themes, for example the Alternate theme.
This theme was designed to have black items with colorful waveform representations. If I make bright items now, then the whole look and feel goes away.
You can of course customize the theme to your preferences, and create bright items, there is nothing wrong with that.

How should a folder TCP and MCP look like? Do you have any suggestions?
I'll try to create another big meter layout for the Master TCP soon.

The fader size is set by a PNG image. You can adjust this mcp_volthumb.png file with an image editor according to your needs.

Maybe the "Theme Adjuster / Color Controls" can help you. There you can adjust brightness and colors.
