Green blank screen (SOLVED)
When I cut an audio file on a separate track, the video turns green. Why would a separate track affect the video that plays back normally if I don’t edit the audio? Any help appreciated.
Finally figured it out… once you glue the audio tracks together, the video on the other track plays back normal. Not sure why but so far so good. Last edited by buschag; 09-20-2021 at 10:33 AM. Reason: Solved |

It looks like the "extracted" sound track retrained the video track attribute and thus showing an "null" video which shows up as green in Reaper. I would consider a different process/tool to extract the audio from your video file (search for tips in this forum). Gluing in fact created a fresh new pure audio track which corrected the problem.
On second thought, if your video source file is on a network drive, a short network interruption would also cause a green screen video. Just close/reopen your project if it's your case. Last edited by papagirafe; 09-21-2021 at 06:48 AM. |

Yup. Glueing solved it. Thanks for the help.
