Well, that explains the 11 year old mentality....and the unfinished plug ins that crash all the time...oops, sorry, I am not a lawyer....LOL

Thumbs Up!
And you go ahead & take your time albertxxxx, I mean how can you feel pressured by a bunch of cheapskates that spend $60 on a DAW and act like they own Avid!

The sense of entitlement many people have never ceases to amaze me. If the excitement of waiting for (free!) themes is proving to be too much for some, I would suggest avoiding this forum and just checking the stash once in awhile to see what's been released. Or maybe use the time and energy you would normally spend on criticizing helpful strangers to learn programming and build your own.
Rant over. Thanks to ALL the themers and others on this site who donate their time and expertise in helping others!

Never mind the negativity Albert. I've been working on a theme of my own for the past year or so, so I know how much work and energy goes into theme making. Just getting the mockup to where I wanted it took me several months of non stop failure :/.
Take your time, it will be worth the wait I'm sure!

So if I'm reading this correctly.
1. You do plan to release/finish "Pro Tools X", Solaris Pro and SSL
2. After these themes are released you are going to stop making new ones till you decide
3. The reason for the above is because it is very time consuming(thanks for all your hard work) and not because of critizism.
Thanks for all your work on these great themes. Looking forward to these releases and any in the future.

Well, I can attest to some of that.
My graphic skills leave a good bit to be desired but I can operate Corel Draw pretty well and make graphics and I spent some time (some long hours) diving into WALTER some time ago and it was (for me) very time consuming.
Making the graphics (buttons and all that) actually isn't so hard once you have some good templates laid out. Making good original graphics and having an overall design concept that works is a good bit harder and requires some graphic skill. And time. Combine that with WALTER and even more time.
But coding WALTER was just too much for me ... which is why I don't complain about those who do it sometimes being rather slow at it.

I just find his constant mockups an annoyance and have the right to express that opinion. I don't come here often and it's always to check on the progress of Solaris SSL and seeing that there will be none I have little reason to return.....carry on....

I usually stay out of these heated discussions, but I like Albert`s stuff too much to just sit on my hands here.
When you make a new song (I assume you're some kind of musicians since you guys are on the reaper forum), do you write it , record it, mix it and master it without ever asking for opinions at any stage of the production?
So you release the final print without asking anyone?
Mockups are an essential part of theming. It's like singing your new song idea a Capella to a a band mate so he can come back with more Ideas.
In my case, since I have a family to feed and a very time consuming job, so writing a new song can takes months... And I'm not dealing with walter code here.
So give the guy a break, please?
And Albert, please never stop your wonderful work

Hi Albert:
Your PT theme looks fantastic - keep up the good work. I can't wait for it to be finished, would love the looks on people's faces when I say they ask what that is and I casually drop something like "Oh, I'm just beta testing PT 12".

Quick question - is there any particular reason that you've decided to deviate from the PT design of - grey track name label with black text for unselected, white name label with blue text for selected?
How it is now (to people who have actually used PT), everything looks selected, and it's hard to differentiate because there's not enough (imo) difference between sel and unsel. Also, the text being blue at all times adds too much colour all the time.
Similarly, the blue track colour 'tabs' everywhere are adding too much non-functional colour. To my eyes, it significantly gets in the way of the actual track colours. It also tints very oddly - as someone who's spent quite a bit of time looking at PT and reaper, it just looks strange and busy. I strongly recommend removing those bits completely if you're not going to do the colour-strip hack.
... some hopefully constructive feedback

You cannot do that in Reaper currently, at all.

Gosh, whats wrong with you guys? If you don't like anything except Reaper, don't look at any theme threads.
I really looking forward to use this awesome theme.
Maybe a little improvement: a small scale at the mixer meters? Maybe just -nothing, -48, -36, -24, -12, -6, -3 and 0?
And maybe the option to hite the fx parameters at the TCP?

We all know that ProTools is very eye friendly, you can work for hours with no fatigue. So a theme for Reaper inspired in the ProTools GUI would be great, mainly for the people like me that´s been working with ProTools for the last 10 years but recognice that Reaper is a superior DAW.
If you can give us the best of both worlds (not copying ProTools GUI for the sake of it but making a better GUI) it would be a killer theme and a solution for all those that want to make the transicion from PT to Reaper.
Keep the good work!

'll try .......... I have to say, it is very important to have a good level of brightness and contrast on the screen .... often default settings is very bad and causes a lot of eye strain

I know this theme could be used by many and it looks very good. But I want my Reaper look like Reaper... not like an inferior program... hihihi
sorry.. I just had to say it.
Albert.. keep working on it as you have time.. take it easy.. and don't listen to bad comments.

While I certainly don't want Reaper to look like PT I have to admit being able to read plugins and send names without binoculars would be an improvement here
