Default Yellow code in item_bg?

Hi all,

While exercising my newfound obsession I stumbled upon a code in the item_bg.png I could'n find searching this forum or in the advanced theming page:

Yellow lines. What do they do?

thx!

The yellow pixels mark the outside of the item, so you can eg put a shadow or glow around the actual item.

Yeah, too bad there's no animated image support. So there'll be no chasing led chain around selected items in your upcoming theme

just kidding

or am I?

Can't wait to see your LedFest theme, it looks absolutely brilliant so far.

...thinkin' old green monochrome Fairlightmonitor here... (no promises)

Mmm.. The top of the item_bg doesn't react on stuff you past in the yellow space, the bottom does, as long as you set the amount of pixels in the preferences that define the space between adjacent tracks.

EDIT: Goddit! 'Draw item labels above rather than within the item' checked!!

Something else: When I reopen Reaper the vertical zooming has increased. I decrease it, save the project, reopen and there it is again.. Feat or bug?

Edit: Left, right, under: no more than four pixels added to the media'items or Reaper panics. Above: 9 pixels to have fun with, but only if you let the mediabuttons float on top. And then the buttons cross through those 9 pixels. Lessee if those buttons react on overlay and get creative...

Default ...problem...

Yesterday Reaper didn't like the new item_bg I think, it kept zooming out vertically after quit/opening te program. This is the png, can anybody see if there's anything wrong with it?

Solving puzzles:

Reaper behaves with these offsets:

3 pixels top/bottom, 2 left/right. More and it will garble. And Reaper still hates it when I mess with those pixels, maybe it zooms in at max to show me were it hurts.

Thanks Tie! ...Now I have to make this very simple lcd-display font, just painting a few pixels with a pencil. I thought. Until I downloaded a trial of a fontcreator... Oh dear. Sometimes I hate beeing obsessed with finding outcomes..

Edit: It looks ok now:

...but Reaper still zooms in vertically when I open it. Guess it's a bug somewhere.
