Default Disabling the auto-coloring for 1 particular parent track folder?

Hi Everyone,

I’m not sure if this has been discussed before but I can’t seem to find anything on it.

I’m looking to disable the auto-coloring for 1 particular parent track folder. Can this be done?

I have a “Mix Bus” track template that I import into every session and then route all the other tracks through it using the folder option. As I have the filter in the SWS auto coloring panel set to children to follow the parent color, it re-colors every track to the “mix bus” color when I do this.

Can I disable the “mix bus” track from being a parent while still having it be a folder so it won’t auto-color all the other tracks?

Thanks.

You could turn it into an actual buss instead of a folder.

Yeah, I was thinking of doing that if there wasn't a way to disable the auto-coloring.

Just curious, but if you try to manually set track color...does this over-ride the autocolor?

I remember it's possible to use the track name (such as “Mix Bus”) as a coloring rule - but perhaps the rule for folder-parent-tracks overrides that?

Yeah, the folder parent tracks override the rule.

The rules can be reordered by dragging and top supersedes bottom in case you didn't know.

Yeah, I've already tried that. It doesn't solve the problem.
