Ohha, a very adagio-like start. Until a hard break
follows immediately: It continues with faded drums
and guitars. At the end the mood changes again, it
becomes calm and a little more percussive.
This track is too torn for a song - there is no
continuous line to be found. On the other hand, I
could well imagine this track as film music or
background music. It would be a melancholy film
with some action elements.

Interesting idea and cool sounds but if I were doing it I would.....
1. remove silence at beginning
2. add a touch of reverb to the violin and roll off some highs/attack.
3. have counterpoint violin play more in time with the initial riff.
4. add more punch to the kick drum/snare, less reverb/more attack
5. i like the cymbal volumes and textures and the ghosty sounds
6. i like the drums at ending
well done !
heard on rokit 8s with 10 sub

I don't write songs in traditional form, but I get what you're saying. I develop with each successive render so that pieces grow organically. This is very early in the process.
Much appreciated listen!

As above, this is a very early sketch. The silence at the beginning is just so that samples of time load and everything plays well together.
The signature is 9/4. It feels a little strange at first, but, again, this is a first render. I haven't started sculpting dynamics and articulations, though I am very confident everything is in time, counterpoint-wise.
I'm going to dial reverb and textures back as it develops. I like to exaggerate things in the early stages so that I have a good point of reference.

Great sounds!
There seems to be 3 distinct directions this could go, depending what you develop further.
My hunch is on the middle heavy guitar section.

I guess I'd ask what's the purpose? As a single piece it's obviously disjointed, and changes tone so abruptly that it's hard to digest as a single piece...but if a work for narration/film or just a mood piece, then it's absolutely fine.
But each element in its own element is well done and sounds great. I'm more of a "here's an apple pie" kind of musician so "here's some apple...oh wait...now it's aquarium gravel.....nope, it's a cat eating a mouse" throws my sensibilities, but I understand the more avante garde concepts even if they're not my thing.

Yeah, you're right/ I'm creating two musical personas and setting them against each other. The live playing is next. This is the programmed portion.
Deeply appreciate your listen! This will be updated in a few hours. I post fresh versions almost daily while I'm working.
Love your shit! I'm a big fan!!

IDK what to say. I don't give a fuck about traditional structure and am posting updates as I work. I like pieces to grow organically. It may feel disjointed now (and may always be this way), but I like to work in the direction the song teaches me. It's a combination of will and surrender.
