Default Hotkey for VST3 Buss Size

Hi fellow Reapers!

Since Plugins on 2-Channel mode (Auto Stereo) consume twice the CPU power,
& since i always run outta CPU resources (Yes my projects are very plugin heavy (and yes ive already tempred with ASIO and Render Ahead and almost every other options)),
& since manually changing "VST3 Buss Count" for every single VST by mouse clicks is a pain on the index finger:

Is there any actions/hotkeys/scripts for "Request Buss Channel Count: Mono"?
or can we at least expect one in the feature?

That would be a dream come true.

Reaper Bless you.

I don't think so, but you can save them as FX chains. I have some vst3 plugins saved in mono and stereo versions and call them up from the FX chain menu.

Converting a channel to mono wont alter the internal processing of the plugin unless it has been coded to do so, and the vast majority wont have been coded to drop to mono processing.

So all this will do is make the audio mono by summing the channels together, but the plugin will still process internally in stereo, it wot reduce the cpu amount used.

If you're running out of CPU then freezing tracks is the best option.

Ive actually done many tests before posting here.

All Fab Filter Plugins, All Softube Plugins and countless many other VST3 plugins that I've tested, DO have been coded to alter their internal processing channel count. And forcing them to mono mode by manually Requesting Mono Mode DOES reduce the CPU usage by up to 50%.

Making your workflow a lot more complicated and a lot less flexible, while Reaper is forcing each mono track to be processed Twice for absolutely no logical reason...

Something that could easily be Fixed by a simple "Switch to Mono Mode" Hotkey or Action.
